March 16 2013 Dump Run

Hey, I went to the dump today, dropped off that broken Dell Dimension, and picked up 2 computers, one of them was just an old Compaq Presario with many missing parts, I am just going to use that one for parts, I am gutting it later today. The other one was very interesting, it was a gaming computer, with only a motherboard in it, albeit it is a very good one, there wasn't even a processor or heat sink! The power supply was inside it, smashed to pieces, and it seemed that I pulled out a smashed up Alpine VCR as well, very weird, I am going to use some of my extra parts to fix it up and see if I can get it running. Will update this post tomorrow. Thanks for reading, and please subscribe!!!

Ugh... Finally giving up on a computer

Last Saturday, I went to the dump and got a quite nice Dell Dimension E520, Pentium D Processor, and made for Windows Vista. I got all excited, brought it home, plugged it in, and BAM! I got a message saying "Please reinstall a version of this file (file name), please insert recovery disc and boot from CD ROM. Ok, no big deal, I put in one of my many Windows Vista recovery discs, installed a new version of the OS and restarted it. I got a Blue Screen of Death. I then inserted my DBAN (Hard Drive eraser) disc and erased the hard drive. About 2 hours later when that was done, i reinstalled Windows Vista, finished, and BAM! another blue screen. I ran a program to see if my hard drive was corrupted, its not. Ready to part this computer and bring it back to the dump, any suggestions?!?!?!?

Wow, Just Wow! Why Me!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Before I go into this, if you have any device that has a screen prone to cracks and scratches, no matter what the price is, BUY AN OTTER BOX FOR IT! When I first got an iPad, I thought that $80 for an iPad case was incredibly expensive, it still is, but, yesterday, when I was working on a computer in my room (installing RAM), I was using my iPad to compare the RAM and see which one was optimal for this computer, I dropped my iPad, the right corner of it slammed into the edge of the computer's corner/, i could hear the glass smash, and i knew that my iPad, my sole companion for on-the-go computing, was cracked, bad, really bad. It still works, in fact, I am typing this post on it right now, but, please take my advice, BUY AN OTTER BOX!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Philip Sullivan, I am just your average 14 year old, eighth grade student, but I have an uncanny addiction to tech. I am always finding out whats coming out, and I definitely always recommend an apple product rather than anything else, they are simply fast, simple, and elegant. I will always post to keep up to date on ANY new device coming out, whether its apple or not. I also go to my local dump in Seymour, Connecticut, it is full of computers and stereos, one time I found a BRAND NEW Mac Pro, 6 core tower. That is my best find ever! Anyway, thanks for looking at my blog, please subscribe!!!!!
